2nd Comenius Meeting in Italy

The second Comenius Meeting has been held in Italy, four teachers from Poland, three from United Kingdom and tree from Spain have visited the schools in San Bassano and Grumello (Pre primary, Primary and Secondary schools)
We have been received by Italian teachers who have organize a great meeting. They have shown theirs schools and we have learnt how they work.
In the meeting we have made a review of the activities completed so far, the logos, the carols, the calendars and the posters had been produced as planned at the meeting at Stoke Prior in October 2010.  They had been a great success. The blog and the web page are working very well and we have a Comenius corner in every school.

We agreed the next works to do:
·        Children will make a research about historical monuments in our own area, and the results finding should be presented in a Power Point Presentation.
·        Children will meet with older people who could tell them about life in the past. The toys and games they had played with and about their education in general. The information gathered would be presented in a book, illustrated with the children’s drawings
·         ‘Who’s Who’ Photographs. The last ‘historical’ activity selected was for each school to create a display of photographs of teachers/teaching assistants when they were young and ask the children to guess who was who! The display would be kept locally within school not sent to the partner schools .
·         The PowerPoints and books would be shared with the other participating schools
·        The deadline for these tasks will be before the next meeting.
In addition, In San Bassano and Grumello we have been received in the Town Hall by the Mayor and local authorities, many thanks to all of them.
We have also visited Pizzighettone, the Ponchielli theater, a violin maker and we did a guided visit in Cremona.
