Pupils, parents, teachers, teaching assistants and friends of Stoke Prior School. As you are probably aware, our school is involved in an International Comenius Project. We are working with schools in Italy, Spain and Poland. In order to make this project as successful as possible, we would like you to tell us your thoughts about the project by answering the questions below:
1) Do you know about the Comenius Project?
2) Have you participated in the project and if so what have you done for it?
3) Have you learnt anything from the project?
Although the questionnaire is anonymous, we would like to know if you are a pupil, teacher, parent etc. and your age (if you are a pupil.)
Thank you for participating.
I am the International School Coordinator so have been very involved, mainly behind the scenes, filling out all the forms and making sure the paperwork and planning are done on time. I have attended meetings and met with the teachers from our link schools.I have learnt a lot about the education system of other countries as well as developed new skills-such as writing in a blog.
ReplyDeleteI am a TA in school and aware of the project. I have supported children when they have been finding the link schools on the world map. Helping them make posters and will be supporting them when they start doing their blogging. It has been very intresting to hear about the different schools from our teachers.
ReplyDelete1. Yes I know about the project. We are doing it with our head teacher Mr Lewis.
ReplyDelete2. We made some posters for SPain, Italy and Poland. We made a Christmas CD of us singing some Christmas songs. We went on the computers and found out about the countires. The teachers showed us exciting pictures of them in Spain and Italy.
3. Yes. We learned about their countries and we asked the teachers questions about their country. We learned from our grandparents and family about the past too. We looked on a map and saw what part of the country they lived in.
3 Pupils age 8, 8 and 8.
1. I know about the project. I am a parent who has had the privilege to be very involved with Comenius since October!
ReplyDelete2. I have participated by helping look after the visiting teachers from Spain and Italy when they came to Stoke Prior, by visiting both the Italian and Spanish schools and by writing minutes of Comenius meetings and part of the diary of our visit to Italy.
3. It has been fascinating seeing how other schools and cultures work and also realising how much we all have in common! It has definitely made me look at Stoke Prior School through new eyes. I've watched our pupils' reactions to the visiting teachers last year, viewing slide shows about their schools, and felt that it made Italy and Spain much more real to them.
Our head teacher does the comenius project with us.We have learn`t lots about other countries because of the project. We have put imformation the blog.

Stoke Prior School
Hello, I do know about the Comenius project and my Mum visited Italy and Spain with Mr Lewis and a couple of other teachers. My Mum loved it, and she liked learning the languages to. She got some CDs from the library and other second hand shops. We do lots about the Comenius project at school which is really fun and we made posters for the other countries in groups. It was fantastic meeting all the other teachers from the other countries. I went with my Mum, Dad and brother, my old headteacher and her husband to the Bangla Lounge in Leominster. I enjoyed that and we had curries. I stayed up really late, we all did. I like this website it's cool!
ReplyDeleteI haven't actually done much for it apart from make a poster and write this entry on the Comenius blog and win the Comenius project logo competition for my school, but thats it really. But I would like to do more because it looks really cool. I would like to write on the blog more frequently and my Mum is going to another country in October. By that time I will have left my school and gone to high school but I will still help and support it. Yes I have learned a little bit, but not that much really. I have learned what schools are like in other countries and what its like in Italy and Spain and what Italian liqorice tastes like and what Spanish liqorice tastes like and that Spain have a version of Hello kitty. I also have learned that I like Spanish food and Italian food most of the time. I have also learned that some schools in a few other countries don't have playtimes outside.
I learned what the different flags of the other countries were like and very interesting facts about them!
I am a pupil and I am 11.
Thanks :)
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI know a bit about the Comenius Project.
I've sung some carols,made a poster,went bowling
with Ugo and the other Italian and Spanish teachers when they came to Stoke Prior. I lost!
I wish I didn't have to wear school uniform like the children in the other schools in the Comenius Project. The schools in Asturias and Italy and Poland are very different from our school, I think.
I would like to grind the bread up like the Asturian children at nursery. In Italy, it looks nice because I like pizza and Italian foods! At school, we have a Comenius Project wall in the corridor and it has got the calendars on and pictures of the teachers that visited.
I would like to learn about the myths and legends in Asturias in Spain.
I am aged 8 and I like Liverpool Football team!
